Case Study: Vauxhall City Farm
Organisation: Vauxhall City Farm, London
Goal: Replace declining cash donations with a modern, frictionless giving method
The Challenge: Fewer visitors carried physical money, and cash donations were falling. After a successful trial at the 2019 Lambeth Country Show, the farm expanded contactless giving across the site.
The Solution: Permanent contactless donation units installed at key points across the farm, combined with QR codes for visitors who preferred to give via their phone.
The Results
- £2,974 raised from 2,961 transactions
- 2,022 contactless donations averaging £6.10 each
- 533 web donations (18%) averaging £13.21
- 53% of web donations driven by QR codes
- Donation levels maintained post-Covid despite reduced visitor capacity
