Mayor's Fund for London – Contactless Giving in Retail

How community barber salon Barber Streisand raised £4,302 in five days for the Mayor's Fund for London's Kitchen Social campaign, with contactless donations accounting for 86% of the total.

Community barber salon Barber Streisand in Exmouth Market partnered with the Mayor's Fund for London to donate one week of takings to support the Kitchen Social campaign, which provides healthy food to children during school holidays.

The Campaign

A DONATE™ contactless device was installed in the salon to capture charitable donations from customers paying by card. The campaign ran for five days.

The setup was simple: customers who came in for a haircut could tap the DONATE™ unit on their way out, making their card payment do double duty - paying for their cut and making a charitable contribution.
