Gunge Off! Family Holiday Association at TTG Travel Awards

How TTG Media raised nearly £3,000 for the Family Holiday Association through a live vote-to-gunge fundraiser at the TTG Travel Awards, using text and web giving with a split totaliser display.

TTG Media partnered with the Family Holiday Association at their TTG Travel Award ceremony on September 28th, 2015, launching a "Gunge Off!" fundraiser where donors voted via text to save either Pippa or Giles - with the person receiving fewer votes getting gunged.

How It Worked

The DONATE™ platform served as the immediate giving mechanism. Participants could text a vote code to donate £5, or text "Pippa" or "Giles" to receive a web link for donating any amount.

Campaign awareness was built through email and social media prior to the event. A split totaliser displayed live donation amounts during the Awards ceremony to encourage continued giving and friendly rivalry between the two camps.

The Result

Nearly £3,000 raised through text and web donations, with valuable Gift Aid and donor data captured for the Family Holiday Association.
