The Environment Trust: Text Giving at a Community Talk

How The Environment Trust raised £114 from a single community lecture - with a third of the 70-strong audience donating on the spot via text after Dame Fiona Reynolds asked them to support the cause.

A local talk hosted by The Environment Trust for approximately 80 guests at a church hall featured celebrated environmentalists Dame Fiona Reynolds, Daniel Raven-Ellison, and Rowan Conway discussing natural environmental beauty.

How It Worked

At the conclusion of the presentation, Dame Fiona Reynolds asked the audience to support The Environment Trust by texting the word BEAUTY to 70970 for a £5 donation. A PowerPoint display provided written prompts showing the keyword and text number throughout the ask.

No set-up required. No monthly charges. Just a simple text ask.

The Result

33% of the audience donated - £114 raised from approximately 70 attendees

"It was so easy; no set-up or monthly charges and when we asked the audience in the hall to give over a third did."
